What is new in EC-Lab® V10.0

NEW FEATURES

• New 3-D graphic representation available off-line

• New corrosion techniques and dedicated analysis tools
  • Variable Amplitude Sinusoidal microPolarization (VASP) and dedicated analysis tool VASP fit

• Constant Amplitude Sinusoidal microPolarization (CASP) and dedicated analysis tool CASP fit

These techniques (CASP and VASP) with their linked analysis tools (CASP fit and VASP fit) allow the determination of Icorr and of the corrosion coefficients faster than using a standard Linear Polarization followed by a Tafel fit.

• New analysis tools

Corr Sim  for simulating corrosion curves	Electrochemical Noise Analysis (ENA)
Fourier transform (FT)	Linear interpolation
Files subtraction	Filter  (many methods available (moving average, Savitzky-Golay, low pass, high pass, band reject and band pass)). This filter can be used off-line or applied automatically simultaneously at the end of experiments.

• Support of the SP-50 single channel potentiostat added
• Support of the MPG2 16-channel potentiostat (fixed configuration) added

IMPROVEMENTS

• Advanced parameters and Cell characteristics windows are now localized in the right side of EC-Lab® main window just before the Parameters Settings window.

• Math menu doesn't exist anymore, it is now included in the Analysis menu. Tools in this Analysis menu are classified depending on the applications: battery, corrosion, EIS, ...
• E Range selection is now included in the technique in the continuity of the other parameters and no more in the top of the window.

ERROR CORRECTIONS

• A flash error occurred for the VM42 communication board of VMP1 instruments since version 9.94.
• Percentage of compensation in ZIR technique was not properly calculated.
